Welcome! :)

(Note: This was originally my first post.)

I suppose I'll start by welcoming you all to my mind and hope you enjoy the stay.

If you've taken the time to read over my profile, you've already discovered some of my most basic interests. However, you'll so come to see that minds are not meant to be scribed on "finite pieces of digital paper" (for there has never been anything vast enough to contain so much information).

Instead our minds can only express whatever inspires us in our environment for that time. Too many catalysts effect human growth, so creating such a venue (ie other forms of communication) would never be able to "keep up" with all the thoughts, emotions and creative ideas streaming in our heads every moment of every day.

"A deep thinking mind puts forth fifty thousand thoughts daily."
Charlie Greer: the National Science Foundation

So you may be asking yourself "Then why is she even blogging if she's having more thoughts then she can write down?" The answer is simple:
Since a lot of my thoughts cannot be shared, throughout the day, I've compiled my favourite and most treasured to share especially with you.

My clothing concepts, my observations of the world, my findings as a young avid learner and anything I feel I should share will be posted for you to see. I hope you learn a lot, will post your comments and are thorough entertained!

Snow Flake

~Okay, so since this one is still in progress, I'll keep the commentary short. It's another Amigurumi but this time I'm paying a tribute to winter. As you can tell, she's really happy to see you. ^ ^

~I used worsted acrilic yarn and I believe a 5.oo mm hook.

~Ending the outer edges is a bit of a problem and I would love suggestions.

~Thanks for watching and hope to post more soon!

~P.S. More of my commision hhave been posted on my deviantart. com account to please click for more of my work!!! :)

Crochet Projects

So as you may (or may not know) I love to crochet anything and everything I see. Unfortunately, I've never had a good way to display what I've made. The finished products simply float from storage device to storage device until someone conjures up the courage to summon them from the deep cob webbed covered boxes of my basement. :)

Now that I've cleared those white threads from my hair, (maybe this was why they wouldn't even take the bribes...) I can begin to show my friends a little bit of my mind.

This here is a squid I made for my friend Neno. While in Art class, he casually mentions that he likes this specific sea creature and that I should make one for him. A few weeks later (much to his surprise) he had his very own one of a kind black squidy thingy!  ^ ^

I was fun to make actually. It's a simple circle Amigurumi styled pattern worked in a single crochet stitch with a few embellishments. Confused? Amigurumi simple means crochet or knitted stuffed animal. They can in all shapes and sizes but are generally cute and fun to create. Single crochet is the easiest stitch to do and circle patterns mean no seams to mess with. The embellishments are the white for his eyes and 8 legs worked as a separate piece. 3 hours later and Ta-Da!  ^ ^

If anyone else would like to be (hopefully) pleasantly surprised, I thinking about selling them for 10 dollars a pop. Just hit me up and well see what I can do. Worse case, I'll teach you how to do it yourself and let you dazzle your friends and family yourselves.

Happy yarn hunting and Happy Easter Sunday. :)
